Information Systems Society (ISS) is a society founded in September 2005 by students of the University of Mauritius (UOM) following the course BSc (Hons) Information Systems (IS).

ISS is a society that will aid its members as well as other students of the University to know the trend of IS in today’s organisations. This will be through lectures, workshops, site-visits etc.

We are also working to make our members obtain training in companies during their holidays and thus obtain some experience in technical as well as administrative tasks.
Leisure activities will also be available from time to time.

The ISS will be hosting the fourth edition of Unitech 2009 - a National Event at the University of Mauritius, on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 5^th , 6^th, 7^th and 8^th March 2009, respectively from 09 00 to 16 00, at the Paul Octave Wiehe Auditorium. Information Systems Society flaunts various successes counting the three editions of UNITECH event which was highly publicized in the local press.
